Summary:
A Scottish University is leading an Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliance proposal which will aims to realise technology-enhanced patient care by overcoming barriers to adoption among healthcare professionals. The partnership will comprise of education, public and private healthcare, and digital service providers who can both design and deliver training strategies and solutions. They urgently seek a SME in the Digital Health space in time for 26th Feb deadline.
Description:
The project aims to realise technology-enhanced patient care by overcoming barriers to adoption among healthcare professionals. The Scottish University proposes to lead a partnership of education, public and private healthcare, and digital service providers who can both design and deliver training strategies and solutions.

Project activities will focus on training healthcare professionals to use digital technologies in designing and putting in place effective self-management programmes for patients with long-term health conditions, and on developing learning strategies to most effectively improve patient care by training a mixture of hospital-based and community-based staff.

Potential outputs from the project may include:
·A better understanding of where digital technologies can be used effectively in training healthcare professionals and supporting patient care
·Knowledge of how to effectively and sustainably overcome the barriers to adoption among healthcare professionals
·Delivery of a pilot training project to healthcare professionals, with a specified target number of beneficiaries
·A number of new training products and services developed including;
oThe development of a number of online training course or resources
oThe development of mobile or online apps for training and/or support of patient care
oA number of effective digital resources to provide ongoing support for adoption

Additional Partners are sought to enhance the project by bringing expertise and experience in:

·Management of long-term healthcare conditions
·Digital adoption in a healthcare context
·Design and delivery of self-managed, patient-centred care programmes
·Managing change in healthcare design and delivery
·The ability to reach a large body of healthcare professionals
·Influencing healthcare policy and investment at a regional, national or international level

The Erasmus+ programme aims to boost skills and employability by modernising Education, Training, and Youth work. Erasmus+ supports transnational partnerships among Education, Training, and Youth institutions and organisations to foster cooperation and bridge the worlds of Education and work in order to tackle the skills gaps Europe is facing.

The Knowledge Alliance stream of Erasmus+ aims to;
·Boost innovation in higher education, business and in the broader socio-economic environment;
·Develop entrepreneurship mind-set and skills
·Stimulate the flow and exchange of knowledge between higher education and enterprises.

Projects should last two to three years. The maximum contribution to costs is €700,000 over two years and €1,000,000 over three years. Financial contributions from the EU are calculated using fixed scale of unit costs.

Deadline for submission of proposals is 26th Feb so the University is looking for expressions of interest urgently.
