Una empresa italiana especializada en comunicaciones y seguridad busca socios interesados en participar en un proyecto del programa H2020 dentro de la convocatoria IoT-01-2016. El objetivo es desarrollar una solución de monitorización fiable y continua para pacientes hospitalizados basada en una red de sensores inalámbricos que se utilice desde dispositivos portátiles pequeños. Se buscan socios de los sectores de TIC, electrónica y mecánica, usuarios finales (hospitales, centros médicos, clínicas y quirófanos) y universidades. La fecha límite de la convocatoria es el 12 de abril de 2016 y el plazo para presentar expresiones de interés finaliza el 28 de febrero de 2016.


Seeking partners to develop an embedded monitoring solution for hospitalized patients (H2020 call: IoT-01-2016)
Italian company, active in the communication and security field, seeks partners to join its H2020 project proposal under the call: IoT-01-2016. The project goal is to develop a reliable, continuous monitoring solution for hospitalized patients, based on a healthcare wireless sensor network relying on a small wearable device.
The company is interested in identifying end users (hospitals, medical centers, clinics and surgeries) and universities interested in joining its consortium.
Health monitoring of patients is a common task in healthcare areas. Medical staff needs to closely monitor their patients, collect their monitoring body parameters and, also, control the overall state of monitored patients in autonomous, real-time and remotely way.
The main goal of this project is to improve patient´s hospitalization through a new system of wards management. A new computerized archive will keep trace of the physiological parameters in real time, localization and medications given. All this information will be gathered through a wireless bracelet assigned to each patient and it won´t interfere with the medical equipments. The technology is also expected to further improve patient safety, freeing nurses and other valuable medical personnel from paperwork and clerical tasks. The project will particularly focus on electronic identification of the patient and automatic hospitalization management.
The Italian company is interested in setting up a consortium to develop the project, to be presented under the H2020 call: IoT-01-2016.
Thanks to the Network the company has identified the ICT partners and is now interested in considering the following type of national and foreign partners to join in:

- End users (medical centers,hospitals,clinics), able to carry out the pilot test;
- Universities, with supervising role at academic level.
