Una pyme letona especializada en pruebas de software, investigación y desarrollo y soluciones en la nube, informáticas y de seguridad, con experiencia previa en participar en proyectos europeos, busca socios con el fin de formar un consorcio y presentar una propuesta a la convocatoria H2020 EIC-SMEInst-2018-2020: Instrumento pyme fase 2. El objetivo es desarrollar una solución biométrica para controlar las horas trabajadas por los empleados. La empresa busca un socio con servicios/instalaciones de fabricación electrónica con el fin de desarrollar el prototipo. Summary:
A Latvian SME engaged in software testing, research -Y- development, cloud, IT and security solutions with previous experience in EU projects is currently looking for consortium partners for the H2020 EIC-SMEInst-2018-2020: SME instrument phase 2. A cost-effective biometric solution is proposed to track the hours worked by employees. A partner with electronic manufacturing services/facilities is being sought to create the prototype.
Description:
The proposal´s main idea is to develop and prepare for the market a new cost-effective solution for tracking the time worked by employees. The physical device will consist of a palm vein print recognition solution instead of the widely used card system and the collected data will automatically be stored in a central timesheet database in the cloud.

The main target market for the solution consists of factories, construction sites, warehouses, banks, public administrations and companies with shift work where accurate and verifiable time tracking is important.

The Latvian SME has extensive previous experience participating in EU projects. Its main line of business is software quality assurance and testing. In addition, the company owns an ISO 9000 Quality Management certificate and has also invested over 1 million EUR in R-Y-D during the last 5 years.

A partner is sought in the field of biometrics that can undertake the manufacture of the prototype. The partner should be an electronics manufacturer that also engages in manufacture of biometric devices.

Advantages and Innovations:

During the project implementation the work time tracking system solution will be developed based on end-user requirements. After the project implementation at least two prototypes in each field and couple of countries in Europe will be tested in the institutions from represented fields.
This project will be business-driven and clearly demonstrate a realistic potential for quick deployment and market take-up of innovations.
