The idea is to improve or develop an effective, economic and portable device to lower pains induced by sports injuries.

Academics partners in the fields of health and sports are sought. Industrial partners are also welcome.
Description:
This French high school has targeted the Key Action 2 "Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices", and more precisely: "Transnational Strategic Partnerships aimed to develop initiatives addressing one or more fields of education training and youth and promote innovation, exchange of experience and know-how between different types of organisations involved in education, training and youth or in other relevant field" like cooling, sport and health.
The project aims at:
1. Assessing the needs linked to sports accidents
2. Creating partnerships between schools involving students aged over 18, laboratories, test centers, national institutions and private companies in the cooling domain.
3. Developing or improving a current reversible system with a miniaturization process.
4. Popularizing a system which could be easily used in all schools, training centers and various places where needed.
5. Getting a feedback on the efficiency of the system in terms of health care as well as marketing.

The French school has already started discussions with partners from Turkey, Italy and Spain regarding this project and wants to enlarge its consortium. Academics partners in the fields of health and sports are sought. Industrial partners are also welcome

Call deadline : 30/04/2015
Deadline of EOI : 25/04/2015
Project duration : about 152 weeks
Advantages and Innovations:
Actually are available on the market two very different kinds of products:
-very cheap "Cold-Hot" packs available in any sport shop for about €3 and which do not perfectly fit to the shape of human body and furthermore need an external equipment to heat or cool them.
- Cryotherapy systems costing about €100,000 used in the best cryogenic laboratories and perhaps in the best sports clubs which are not affordable for everyone.

For an intermediate cost, the new device will fit exactly to the shape of the user's body and will embed a battery to regulate the temperature of the fluid.

Thus, the French high school intends to disseminate this cost-effective and autonomous device which could fit in a light and 'easy to handle' case stored in all locker rooms of all schools, colleges, universities or small local clubs.
