A Dutch company is looking to further develop its non thermal plasma (NTP) technology that has proven to greatly reduce the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAC) emissions from the petrochemical industry. The company wants to submit a Eurostars proposal and is looking for research cooperation with a cleantech and petrochemical company focusing on development of the technology and its integration in the production processes.
Description:
PAC emissions are the primary source of pollution from the oil and gas industry. Current technologies to reduce this pollution are bulky, produce a significant waste stream and are very inefficient in the usage of water and energy.

A Dutch cleantech company has developed an NTP based system which has shown to reduce the PAC emissions on average by more than 85% and in one case even 100%.

Compared to other systems commonly in use to reduce PAC emissions in the industry, application of this technology reduces energy usage by ? and does not use water or chemicals. Furthermore it doesn´t use items (like filters) that have to be maintained/replaced from time to time, resulting into improved efficiencies and lower operational costs. Proof of value was demonstrated at a petrochemical plant.

The SME is seeking collaboration with a company with a thorough knowledge of installation technology in the petrochemical industry. This SME is needed for knowledge on how to implement this technology in the petrochemical process.
A research cooperation agreement is foreseen.

Due to the Eurostars requirements on country distribution, the partner should be located in the countries participants of the Eurostars-Eureka programme, except from The Netherlands. That is: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and/or United Kingdom.

The deadline for the call is the 3rd September 2020.
The expressing of interest for participation is 30th July 2020.

Advantages and Innovations:
The SME´s technology has the advantage that it allows more efficient reduction of PAC emissions than traditonal methods.

The technology doesn´t use water, chemicals or filters and therefor has a lower cost price and operational cost than traditional methods.
