Una pyme coreana del sector del descanso (colchones y somieres) está interesada en desarrollar un nuevo colchón basado en el uso de tecnología de IoT. Este colchón integrará un sensor para recoger información sobre los parámetros del sueño a partir de la detección de movimientos, presión y temperatura corporal y otra información ambiental como iluminación, humedad, temperatura y ruido. La empresa busca compañías, centros de I+D y universidades interesados en mejorar la calidad del sueño con el fin de establecer una cooperación en materia de investigación y presentar una propuesta al programa EUROSTARS 2. La fecha límite de la convocatoria es el 14 de septiembre de 2017. El proyecto tendrá una duración de 104 semanas.

Description:
A Korean SME works in developing and manufacturing mattress and related products. They have developed a moving bed frame that can provides better quality of sleep. Based on the bed frame, they are currently researching on a customized mattress with IoT technology.

The company is planning to develop an IoT-mattress with a sensor inside. It collects user´s sleeping information from detecting movements, pressure, and body temperature. The sensor also collects user´s sleeping environmental information such as brightness, humidity, temperature, and noise. The collected data is sent to the main server via Wi-Fi. The main server analyses the time with and without movement and provided information. The analysed sleeping pattern is delivered to the application server, and the user can check their sleeping conditions.
The ultimate version of the mattress that the company wants to develop includes a control system with analysed data. It controls the light, noise, humidity, temperature around the user. It turns up or down the light, raises or lowers the humidity, and slows down or speed up the movement of the frame. With the controlled environment, the user can enjoy the most effective and the best quality of sleep.

They are now looking for companies, research institutes, and universities to develop a special mattress with IoT services. The company wants to cooperate in the framework of the project and to write together the application for funding. It would be the perfect tool for improving sleep quality and life quality.
