The group seeks companies or R-Y-D institutions experienced in this field to complete the consortium.
Description:
A group composed until now by 3 Spanish complementary partners (a University, an engineering company and an architectural firm) is looking for other partners experienced as them in energy efficiency in buildings, in order to submit a common proposal to the H2020-EE-03-2016: "Standardised installation packages integrating renewable and energy efficiency solutions for heating, cooling and/or hot water preparation.
Problem to be addressed: There are many renewable and energy efficiency technologies that are already developed and available on the market to ensure that heating and cooling of buildings is done from renewable and low carbon sources and coupled with modern energy efficient technologies and control/command systems. The market uptake of these new solutions is often hindered by the lack of availability of planning tools and the lack of expertise and confidence by designers and installers. As a result these technologies and solutions are not being taken up by market players. Instead, designers and consumers stay with conventional heating and cooling solutions, where quality and reliability as well as cheap assembly, installations and maintenance/repair services are already developed and known.
Proposed solution: The objective of the project is to develop methods and parameters for standardised installation packages for novel renewable, hybrid or energy efficient system, bringing forward combined, adaptable and plug and play, solutions.
Expected impact: The final purposes are to demonstrate the actual potential of the new heating and cooling solutions/systems, to increase the roll out to the market of these new heating and cooling systems and to demonstrate their costs and energy benefits.
Expertise provided: The initial group of 3 partners has worked in sizing heat exchangers with phase change materials (PCMs) for low temperature heating systems in buildings with low energy consumption, and simulated how these systems could be optimized both from the economic point of view and comfort.

They are able to adapt and size such systems for different types of buildings in combination with water storage tanks and simulate their performance for different climatic conditions.
Expertise sought: A SME to design the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation -Y- Air Conditioning) system and manufacture the system prototype; a SME to design the heat exchangers with PCMs to be used in the HVAC systems and to manufacture a prototype of these heat exchangers; a SME to design the control/command systems and integrate them in the new HVAC system; and a R-Y-D institution to contribute to the project with their know-how on the field of energy efficiency and possibly engage to a certification process.

The group seeks a manufacturer of HVAC systems based on renewable and low carbon sources, a manufacturer of heat exchangers able to integrate PCMs, an expert in the control the HVAC system and a R-Y-D institution with know-how in on the field of energy efficiency and certification processes (able to play as well the role of coordinator).

Partner sought

Partner Sought:
The proposers seek partners that can add value to their future proposal. The ideal partners are companies not too small or R-Y-D institutions, but they are open to any suggestion. The project coordinator role has not still assigned. The consortium is expected to be integrated by around 6 to 8 partners in total (currently there are 3). The following partners are being sought to complete the consortium: +SME: To design the HVAC system and manufacture the system prototype. This company should be able to market the resulting HVAC system. +SME: To design the heat exchangers with PCMs to be used in the HVAC systems and to manufacture a prototype of these heat exchangers. This company should be able to market the resulting heat exchangers with PCMs. +SME: To design the control/command systems and integrate them in the new HVAC system. +R-Y-D institution: To contribute to the project with their know-how on the field of energy efficiency and possibly engage to a certification process. This institution could be the project coordinator as well.
