H2020: EIC-SMEInst-2018-2020: Partners sought dealing with social work activities related to ex-offender reintroduction to society
Summary:
A Latvian SME that provides practical support for ex-offenders and their families to bring back them to law abiding society is looking for consortium partners for the Horizon 2020 call: EIC-SMEInst-2018-2020: SME instrument phase 2. The project aim is to improve ex-offender integration back into society and create a "welcoming space" platform.
Description:
The project objectives are to create a welcoming space for ex-offenders and their families to reintroduce themselves with society. The purpose is to provide practical support for ex-offenders and their families (employment, courses, social skills, counseling, cultural events etc), in order to reduce crime, to integrate socially difficult groups into society, showing their positive potential, and to unite a community, solving a common challenge together.

The term "welcoming space" is a major project hook, foundation and innovation at a European level. Very often ex-offenders psychologically cannot survive in stable conditions because they are not adapted to them and while living in such conditions they do not feel comfortable.

Economical advantages of the proposal appear as tax consumers (offenders and unemployed ex-offenders) become tax payers . That transfiguration brings along with reduced recidivism, psychologically and economically renovated families which increases creative citizenship, common good and safety for all society. Furthermore, society is becoming more unified in order to engagement of different social groups. That all together creates a welcoming space for included society, for safe investments, varied economical, cultural and civic activities.
