Una pyme francesa de ingeniería especializada en el campo de diseño de sensores complejos y desarrollo de sistemas de inspección y medición para fines específicos busca socios con el fin de presentar una propuesta a la acción piloto "Vía rápida a la innovación". El objetivo es desarrollar nuevas tecnologías de inspección y ensayos no destructivos respetuosos con el medioambiente. Se buscan industrias o institutos de investigación en los sectores de interferómetros/generadores láser y procesamiento de señales ultrasónicas, así como fabricantes de sondas y usuarios finales de los campos de automoción y aeroespacial. La fecha límite de la convocatoria es el 29 de abril de 2015 y el plazo para presentar expresiones de interés finaliza el 4 de abril.

URGENT H2020-FTI - aerospace and NDT partners sought for the development of environmentally friendly non destructive testing solutions
Summary:
A French engineering SME active in the field of complex sensor design, measure and inspection systems development for specific purposed is looking for additional partners to complete a proposal under the Fast Track to Innovation scheme to develop new clean inspection or non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies. Partners sought are only an industrial (preferably large) end users from aerospace sector as well as an engineering company with expertise in laser for NDT.
Description:
This French SME originally is a service -Y- development company specialized in complex Non Destructive Testing (NDT) solutions for heavy industries. Active for more than 25 years, they are now working in several engineering fields in the sectors of NDT, measuring and inspection, electromagnetism applications, power ultrasonics, UV and lasers.

The aim of the current project proposal to be submitted to the new Fast Track to Innovation pilot scheme is to develop a new "green" NDT system using state of the art technologies :
- contactless ultrasonics with advanced laser generation,
- Electro-Magnetic Acoustic tranduscers (EMAT) : e.g. a transducer for non-contact sound generation and reception using electromagnetic mechanisms. EMAT is an ultrasonic nondestructive testing method which does not require contact or couplant, because the sound is directly generated within the material adjacent to the transducer
- Laser interferometry
- 3D data imaging

This is to become a more sustainable alternative to currently widely-used penetrant testing or dye/liquid penetrat inspection technology or magnetoscopy technology which are both not very suitable for their environmental impact.

The contactless remote inspection technology has just been developed and it has been tested for corrosion detection in non-accessible areas of complex part systems.
This project will validate its upscaling to the pre-industrial stage which is in accordance with the objectives of FTI projects (e.g. industry driven projects closed to the market).

The project´s proposal is now focusing more on the aerospace sector as an application sector as it is the one with the most promising market on the short term.

The consortium in preparation already consists in 3 partners :
1° the SME described above as technical leader. It has the experience of leading / coordinating several EU projects for over 20 years and have recently focused their work on developing more environmentally friendly NDT solutions and processes.
2° a large French aerospace industrial company which requires NDT solution for its parts acting as an end-user.
3° a private Danish engineering company specialized in corrosion inspection which will contribute to providing additional technical feature to the system.

The consortium is now looking for an additional one or two partners from two different countries besides France and Denmark :

1 end-users, from preferably large company(ies), exclusively from the aerospace industry as the project is now focusing on that application solely.

1 engineering company providing expertise in laser sources or interferometry for inspection application

No other partner types will be consider.
