Una pyme israelí que ha participado con éxito en el programa H2020 y un proveedor de tecnologías líderes en el mercado de detección de rayos cósmicos de muones buscan socios con el fin de presentar una propuesta a la acción piloto FTI. El objetivo es desarrollar y probar tecnologías de detección de muones para el sector de exploración minera. La empresa ofrece su tecnología de detección avanzada, ecológica y pasiva para una amplia variedad de soluciones de imagen de muones. La fecha límite de la convocatoria es el 15 de marzo de 2016 y el plazo para presentar expresiones de interés finaliza el 7 de marzo.

Israeli SME R-Y-D oriented, H2020 past winner, and a market-leading technology provider of a new cosmic ray muons detection technologies is looking for partners to complete a proposal under the FTI scheme to develop and demonstrate muon detector technologies for the mineral exploration market. Project SUN-BEAM aims to develope a cost-effective technology and fit in a PQ-sized borehole. SME offers its cutting edge, eco-green, passive detection technology for a variety of muon imaging solutions.
Description:
SUN-BEAM project objectives are to introduce a new and innovative technology for mineral exploration. The project intends to up-scale currently used Cosmic Ray detection technology for exploration, to implement technology integration with supplemental technologies to plan and perform integration on the mineral mining exploration field and to reach positive beta testing results.
SUN-BEAM is looking for partners to join Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) Pilot under the H2020 program:
· Commercial and technology provider (SME or Large Enterprise) active in the area of Minerals Exploration to supplement/integrate its technologies/products with Lingacom´s technologies and to partner on the exportation activities.
· End User - a mineral exploration company (SME or Large Enterprise) to support in finally defining project´s attributes and acting as Beta Site.

No other partner types will be considered.

Advantages and Innovations:
SUN-BEAM plans on offering a unique solution that is cylindrically-shaped imaging sensor with high spatial resolution that fit in a PQ-sized borehole. Underground Mineral Exploration is done today in many different methods, most requiring a large number of underground drilling.
There mineral exploration combined the use of multiple measurements and tools divided into the categories of Geophysical , Geochemical and Direct explorations (drilling , mapping) that major part of them are done prior the drillings. The down hole logging surveys is the use of physical, radiogenic or electromagnetic instruments lowered into a borehole to gather information about the borehole, and about the physical and chemical properties of rock, sediment, and fluids in and near the borehole.
The main limitation of the existing down hole logging surveys is their limited survey distance from the drilling. There is to reduce the number of the drilling , and to collect as much as possible date from existing drillings in order to determine about the next steps of the drillings. The muon tomography logging shall provide mapping for distances beyond all the existing logging sensors.The muon tomography principle for ground and underground applications has been discovered and proved many years ago. The technology of using Cosmic Rays Muons is already in use by CRM Geotomography Technologies Inc (CRM) is a Canadian , privately owned company Provides geophysical services to mining companies, with a current focus on near-mine exploration for life extension of underground base- and multi-metal mines. SUN-BEAM offers the Lingacom technology being design for boreholes. The CRM technology muon detector have footprint of approximately 1 meter by 2 meters and are approximately 1.5 meters and lack of high spatial resolution that is required for borehole use.
