Un equipo de investigación griego está preparando una propuesta para la convocatoria HCO-2015, con fecha límite el 24 de febrero de 2015. El objetivo es desarrollar intervenciones dirigidas y estrategias de comunicación para reducir y prevenir el tabaquismo en los jóvenes en fase temprana. Se buscan urgentemente universidades, centros de investigación y empresas con experiencia en optimizar intervenciones para dejar de fumar, así como en el diseño e implementación de métodos alternativos y nuevas estrategias de comunicación para grupos específicos.

A Greek research team is planning to submit a proposal for the H2020-HCO-2015 call (the Health Co-ordination Activities
call of the HORIZON 2020 Programme), with deadline 24/02/2015, to develop a multi-partner research-based series of targeted interventions and communication strategies in order to reduce & prevent smoking in young people at earlier stages.
Planning indoor hospital interventions (optimize tobacco cessation interventions) and implementing innovative methods through the education system emphasizing on specific behavioral characteristics, including developing applications for this purpose, aims at designing interventions on a wide range of prevention strategies, with a focus on a) being adaptable in the socio- economic context b) using cost-effective methods in the health system in general c) providing results-based evidence of health outcomes for the prevention strategies d) developing tailor-made approaches for specific target groups using new media e) developing policy standards so as to promote improved health outcomes in both local and global contexts.
Using alternative methods and new media especially designed for specific target groups is expected to have a widespread impact (at national level). Evaluating improved health outcomes in various stages contributes to the embedding of policy interventions and the establishment of good practices in education and indoor hospital services. A wide range of stakeholders is to be engaged for this purpose.
The research team is urgently looking for partners from universities, research organisations and SMEs with expertise in optimising tobacco cessation interventions, developing applications for the internet (including animation), and/or designing communication strategies in the sector of health communication.
