Description:
A Spanish company, a technology based firm founded in 2011 with expertise in software and hardware development, is coordinating a project proposal, E-Share, related to sharing economy to be submitted to H2020- ICT-11-2017 call.

Current perpetual growth economic system drives the society into a model of development that can be destructive to the environment and contribute to poverty and hunger around the world bringing numerous social problems as class stratification. These consumerist systems have got low rates of efficiency and they are unable to alleviate complex problems resource usage and societal problems, as addictions i.e. ´shopaholism´ and class stratification.

However, there is an increasing consumer desire to be in control of their consumption, instead of being passive agents of hyper-consumption. This aspiration leds the society to new grassroots collaborative models of economy.

Sharing economy is a system that unlocks the value of underused assets, through ICT platforms, that match ´haves´ with ´wants´. It provides individuals with information that enables the optimization of resources through the exchange of excess capacity in goods and services, increasing the value of these resources for the business, for people, for the community and for society.

The project will develop an ICT web-based platform that will allow the users to share products. This objective will have big spectrum, bartering and sharing goods, time and professional services all over Europe. As second goal E-Share will integrate emerging making movement allowing users to contribute and receive knowledge for fixing or creative new uses of old goods integrating them in society value cycle. E-Share will take idle capital and turn them into useful resources and will catalyse individual innovation and entrepreneurship.

Web-platform innovative techniques of data analysis will be used to evaluate and predict social behaviours and user preferences. The information obtained from data mining can be used by companies for product benchmarking and foreseeing new applications for existent or new products.

The goal of the project is to be a leader platform able to bind together sharing and collaborative economy, making movement and data mining services.

The current consortium, composed by a technology-based SME and a European university, is looking for economic research centers and universities to give educational and knowledge background and pilot cases among their users. Their specific role will be providing information to the users about benefits of collaborative and sharing economies and supporting the development of the web platform.
