Una pyme española está interesada en presentar una propuesta a la convocatoria H2020-ICT-24A-2015 con el objetivo de ofrecer soluciones innovadoras para la localización precisa de robots móviles que operan en infraestructuras enterradas. Aunque la empresa tiene experiencia en infraestructuras enterradas, también ofrece soluciones de localización y navegación autónomas para robots móviles que operan en interiores y exteriores. Se buscan socios y consorcios que trabajen o tengan conocimiento en este campo para participar en el proyecto. La fecha límite de la convocatoria es el 14 de abril de 2015 y el plazo para presentar expresiones de interés finaliza el 13 de marzo de 2015.

A Spanish SME is willing to submit a H2020-ICT-24A-2015 proposal project with the aim to provide innovative solutions for accurate localization of mobile robots. Partners and consortia involved in this topic or with knowledge in this filed are being sought.
Description:
A clear market need has been identified to precise localization of mobile devices working in whether in indoor or outdoor
environments. A Start-up initiative is being led by researchers with deep experience in mobile robots localization and navigation subjects. This SME is currently based in the area of Barcelona, Spain, and it is a research oriented SME with a main line of activity focused on providing solutions for accurate localization of mobile robots operating in buried infrastructures, so these infrastructures can be correctly mapped onto existing GIS applications.

Therefore, what they are offering are particular solutions (in the form of algorithms and, if required, set of sensors and necessary electronics to handle sensor information and feed the developed algorithms) for localization (accurate 3D localization) and autonomous navigation (hence solving the problems of position tracking and path following, including obstacle avoidance).

The solutions proposed are especially designed for GPS denied environments; although we can as well fuse GPS information in the case it is available. So, although the SME specialise in GPS denied environments, they are able to provide localization and autonomous navigation solutions in a general case for a mobile robot working in either an outdoor or an indoor environment. Additionally, they offer a secondary line of work related to solve general automatic control problems, including control algorithms (low or high level control problems) and related electronics if necessary.
