Resumen:
A French wine-growing cluster is currently looking for partners to complete an European consortium of clusters from the wine sector to answer the Horizon 2020 INNOSUP-01-2018-2020 call. The sought partners shall be technological clusters (laser, robotics, big data...) which will enable to set-up notably cross-cutting tenders for innovative SMEs. The proposal´s purpose is to innovate the wine sector via customised multisectorial solutions developed by SMEs answering the consortium´s common call.

H2020 INNOSUP-01-2018-2020: Technological innovation clusters (laser, big data, robotics,...) sought to accelerate innovation in the wine-growing sector through cross-cutting fertilisation
Summary:
A French wine-growing cluster is currently looking for partners to complete an European consortium of clusters from the wine sector to answer the Horizon 2020 INNOSUP-01-2018-2020 call. The sought partners shall be technological clusters (laser, robotics, big data, ...) which will enable to set-up notably cross-cutting tenders for innovative SMEs. The proposal´s purpose is to innovate the wine sector via customised multisectorial solutions developed by SMEs answering the consortium´s common call
Description:
The wine sector represents a major part in the European commercial balance. It creates direct jobs (vineyards, barrels, bottles, etc.), but also indirect employment (consulting and other sevice providers, new technologies deployed on vineyards, studies, ...). Furthermore, tourism is strongly influenced by the presence of oeno-activities in a certain region.
Today, a lot of negative factors influence a very traditional and often family-run milieu:
- global warming generating heatwaves and droughts or strong rain periods deteriorate especially family-run exploitations (failure of crops)
- rude competition with new and upcoming countries (Chile, Argentina, Australia, etc.) impede export opportunities
- stronger regulations on pesticides, herbicides and other usual practices hinder the productivity and require alternative solutions

Innovation, that is to say alternative answers to the above-mentioned phenomena, is an important issue to maintain Europe´s wine-growing sector in the pole position and to prepare tomorrow´s challenges.
A French wine cluster is setting up an European consortium altogether with other cluster from other sectors to prepare a project proposal to the next Horizon 2020 INNOSUP-01 call which will close on the 02nd April 2020.
The approach will reside in markedriven, cross-cutting and "technopush" innovation that will be deployed, so tested and adapted, in European vineyards.

The proposal will be carried out by mixing up wine-growing oriented clusters with novel technology oriented clusters.
In the framework of the Innosup-01 call, this consortium will launch several calls turned to European SMEs that will provide technological solutions either to country/region-specific problems or transversal/Europe-wide challenges. These cross-cutting solutions have to go quickly close to the market. Therefore, test and validation programs will be conducted and this always in another country than the technology provider´s one.
The French wine cluster is already in contact with entities from Spain, Portugal, Italy, but is still looking for clusters specialised, notably in the following technology areas:
- Big data
- Artificial intelligence
- Image analysis
- Robotics
- etc.
The collaboration scheme will be a research and development agreement.
The deadline for expressions of interest is the 10th March 2020
The call´s deadline is the 02nd April 2020
Advantages and Innovations:
By dint of this cascade funding project proposal, a multisectorial consortium will gather clusters of the wine-growing sector and of technological sectors (laser, information and communication technology, robotics, etc.). The aim is to strongly innovate the vinaceous domain by integrating customised and marketdriven technological solutions via procurements by tenders launched by the consortium throughout the project´s lifespan. These solutions, provided by SMEs, will be tested in an European approach, videlicet in another country than the provider´s one. The testing, adaptation and validation phases within European vineyards will permit a quick commercialisation and market potential of the solutions after the project´s end.

Partner sought

Partner Sought:
The French cluster specialised in the wine-growing sector is currently looking for other clusters concentrated on key technologies like: - Robotics - Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) - Big data - Laser - etc. The competences and the ecosystem of SMEs that shall bring these partners in the proposal, will dynamise and boost the potential to set-up cross-cutting priorities and tenders for innovative SMEs. The sought partners shall be clusters from the following countries: Czechia, United Kingdom, Germany, Estonia, Slovenia, Israel, Netherlands, Switzerland. The framework of collaboration will be a research and development agreement.
