La empresa busca socios (astilleros y expertos en paneles solares, aerogeneradores y sistemas de navegación, y usuarios finales, como ferries, cargueros, petroleros y cruceros) interesados en unirse al consorcio y establecer un acuerdo de investigación. La fecha límite de la convocatoria (primera fase) es el 9 de enero de 2020 y el plazo para presentar expresiones de interés finaliza el 1 de diciembre de 2019.

They are seeking a wide array of partners including ship builders and experts in solar panels, wind turbines and navigation systems, and ship builders as end users (ferries, cargo, tankers or cruise) to join the consortium via research cooperation agreement.
Description:
The long awaited move to reduce Green House Gas (GHG) emissions from shipping presents innovators with a challenging task. Current solutions include the use of energy efficiency measures and alternative fuels applied to old hulls. But these solutions are not enough to achieve UN target reductions due to their limited potential. Current reduction measures for NOx and SOx emissions are often achieved with solutions that increase GHG emissions.

An international team led by a UK based company and a clean ocean foundation has been formed to apply for , are looking for the H2020 call Decarbonising long distance shipping (LC-MG-1-13-2020), in order to design, build, and field a faster solar and wind powered craft based on the Elizabeth Swann concept.

They are seeking a wide range of collaborators to complete their consortium, including experts in:

1. Solar panel design and energy management
2. Propellers and motors
3. Construction in marine alloys (welded ship or yacht builders).
4. Wind turbines
5. Stressing of the hull
6. Tank testing
7. Satellites for comms and navigation excellence
8. Navigation instruments with a leaning toward collision avoidance
9. Low drag paints

They are also seeking ship builders as end users to test the vessel, for example ferries, cargo, tankers or cruise ships, to join the bid via research cooperation agreement.

The deadline for the first stage of the call is 9 January 2020.

The deadline for expressions of interest in this call is 1 December 2019.
