Un grupo de investigación de una universidad italiana va a presentar un propuesta a la convocatoria H2020 SCC 2014/2015 (Ciudades y comunidades inteligentes), con fecha límite el 5 de mayo de 2015. El objetivo del proyecto es desarrollar un distrito urbano de emisiones casi cero en dos o tres ciudades europeas-mediterráneas. Se busca un socio industrial (pyme o gran empresa) con el fin de desarrollar una infraestructura TIC integrada e inteligente para servicios urbanos y dos o tres municipios para reproducir las soluciones. La fecha límite de la convocatoria es el 5 de mayo de 2015 y el plazo para presentar expresiones de interés finaliza el 5 de marzo de 2015.

The project idea Future-oriented resiLient Urban Intelligent Districts planning in Europe and Mediterranean Area: Paradigms and Practices - FLUID APP

An Italian academic laboratory with expertise in smart planning is looking for partners to join the project proposal they are currently developing.
The FLUID APP project is highly driven by industrial needs. The objective of the project is to develop a smart urban district (in two or three European cities as pilot projects).
The specific objective of FLUID APP project is to create a nearly zero experimental urban (NZEB) district that can work as a lighthouse project for all euro-mediterranean cities.
The experimentation will both create new buildings following the NZEB directives and will provide retrofitting to the existing buildings in a way that creates connections between the core (the new building) and the rest of the district. This is quite a common situation in many urban contexts in Europe where a large amount of buildings already exist and are responsible of a huge amount of CO2 emissions.
The core of the area may be regarded as a Smart and Innovative Social aggregation Point that will work as a museum of good practices while triggering a series of actions and initiatives (laboratories, workshops, web diffusion, educational meetings but also living lab etc..) and will lead in the medium term to the dissemination and knowledge of innovative technologies among the inhabitants of the district and throughout the city.
ICT technologies for energy efficiency, smart mobility, citizens involvement and e-health will also be key issues of the project, through the pervasivity of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies that allow the integrated management of a number of data and functions.

The laboratory is a multidisciplinary research laboratory on urban planning with the aim of discussing the issues of urban metabolism management and connecting activities of strategic planning and applied research, innovation technology and economic, ecological, and climate factors. One of its main targets is digital/on cloud information dissemination and scientific reports for Public Administration experts for the creation of measures for energy efficiency. Besides the dissemination of "zero consumption" new urban lifestyles is another main target.
Furthermore, the laboratory elaborates proposals for urban regeneration programs about "smart districts" : urban areas in which it is possible to introduce environmental and societal sustainability through the high ecological standards of buildings, public spaces, mobility, waste recycling, ICT and IoT.
From an urban, social and creative perspective, the laboratory works to build new visions through territorial analyses that will be disseminated in order to transfer the research results to future governance.
Partners sought are either SMEs, with expertise on ICT issues to develop an integrated intelligent platform, that will connect services, people and systems of the smart city districts, or municipalities, through the replication of solutions at the end of the project and getting benefit from access to know-how and results of the project and networking with the project partners
Deadline for expressions of interest is the 27th of March 2015.

In case of municipalities (2 - 3 follower cities) is expected the sought partners will join the proposal to contribute to the process through the replication of solutions at the end of the project and having access to the knowhow and results of the project and a privileged contact with the project's partners
