The company is looking for stadiums and big events organizers to participate as end users in a proposal under H2020-SU-FCT02, technologies to enhance the fight against crime and terrorism.
The title of the project idea is: Secure stadiums and football matches: A comprehensive intelligent identification and access control system.
In more detail, the scale of stadium crime in Europe requires a radical and strong response enabling the rapid and effective elimination of the pathologies in question. None of the stadium security systems currently in use in Europe is able to respond effectively to these challenges. Hence the need to build and implement a system in line with the characteristics set out in this proposal.
The aim of the project is to build a comprehensive intelligent identification and access control system for football stadiums. The consortium expects to achieve the following results in terms of European citizens´ security to improve security in stadiums by:
· eliminating persons subject to stadium bans,
· identifying persons who are potentially ill (with abnormal body temperature),
· identifying and excluding from participation in sporting events persons who are disruptive to public order during sporting events (both masked and unmasked),
· detecting and eliminating the possibility of bringing prohibited pyrotechnics, etc. into stadiums.
Also, to increase the speed of reaction to adverse events during a sporting event, in particular those violating public safety.
Another task is the efficient risk management of the mass sports event and fans´ stadium traffic by managing the location, entry control and monitoring of risk-rated fans.
