The project is to develop geometric modelling, image processing, & 3D reconstruction techniques.
Description:
The University is applying to the Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) funding programme within the Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions.

The consortium consisting of EU academic and non-academic beneficiaries and the partners from the eligible third countries, is expected to implement the research/innovation activities by means of functional secondments, aiming at sharing knowledge, acquiring new skills and developing careers for consortium staff members.

The non-academic partner should come from EU member states or associated countries.

The proposed project aims to bring the leading scientists in image processing, geometric modelling, and 3D reconstruction and the users or researchers in a non-academic organization together to develop advanced techniques of partial differential equation (PDE)-based image processing, geometric modelling, and 3D reconstruction.

The current partners of the consortium have expertise and research excellence in image processing, partial differential equation-based geometric modelling and shape reconstruction, and computer animation.

The requested partner should be in non-academic sectors. There is no limit on the size of the partner. The expertise should be in image processing, 3D reconstruction, geometric modelling, computer animation and games, and computer graphics. The partner should be able to host the funded seconded staff from other partners and/or send its seconded staff funded by RISE funding to other partners.

The application proposal will be completed by 20/04/2015. The deadline of the RISE call is 28/04/2015. The project is expected to start from 01/01/2016 and lasts 48 months.
