ERASMUS+ proposal: partners (universities, training centres, SMEs, employment agencies, etc.) related to specialised career coaching to boost employment for young graduates
Summary:
Greek vocational training and lifelong learning centre seeks partners to join an ERASMUS+ proposal related to specialised career coaching in order to boost employment for young graduates. Expressions of interest are invited from relevant European partners such as universities, business management schools, vocational educational training centers, SMEs with expertise in vocational training, human resources, career counselling, and recruitment offices.
Description:
A Greek vocational training and lifelong learning centre is preparing a project aimed at creating employment opportunities for young graduates.
Resourceful is called someone able to deal well with new or difficult situations and to find solutions to problems. Teaching young people to be solution-driven (rather than easily deterred by failure) makes them more valuable, competitive and self-sufficient. When people are resourceful, they will always entertain new ideas, approaches and possibilities. Entrepreneurship education and experience is an excellent way to drive this home and make young people more resourceful, as are leadership activities and organizations. Cultivating resourcefulness as a skill prepares young people for jobs that may not yet exist; in fact, the more resourceful they are, the more likely the next generation will be to create their own jobs - and companies that will create jobs for others. Meanwhile, businesses, are always searching for staff with problem-solving skills, as they believe that in order to succeed in the workplace (and life in general) you need to be able to evaluate situations, break them down, consider ways of resolving them and decide which is the most appropriate.
In this framework and taking into consideration that there are more and more unemployed and/ or inexperienced young people, seems important not only to provide them the significant skills like interpersonal communication, the ability to speak -Y- write correctly -Y- present ideas clearly but also to train them be resourceful and ready to deal with any issue in their work environment.
