The proposal, a Try and Buy IT Platform, aims to define a new open architecture, and a common framework and services with a flexible business model, that will meet the needs identified in the fashion market. The company is looking for an ICT SME partner, with expertise in 3D-printing clothes and/or cutting machine on demand, to participate in the Project in 2018 (deadline March 2018).
Description:
The relationship between brands and their customers is experiencing a revolution greater than what companies have perceived so far. The confluence and consolidation of different technologies (computer vision -CV-, augmented reality -AR-, machine learning -ML- ...) has the potential to become a real revolution that can radically change the interaction of different actors in the CRM process.
Companies expect to deliver user experiences based on virtual reality over the next four years, and to offer much of the user experience through chatbots. Many brands also currently have problems making good use of prospecting data and customer data (unable to adequately process social networking and CRM information).

Social networks and smartphones have contributed to a clear preference of the customers for the self-service, in their relationship with the brands. The user increasingly seeks to make the purchase and resolve possible incidents of the service without the need to communicate with a Customer Service department. When it comes to fashion market, companies are facing a fast changing, less predictable environment, which makes it increasingly challenging for retailers and brands to develop the right products for their customer. Brands look for ways to implement innovative technologies to respond to this trend.

In adittion, technologies associated with virtual reality and augmented reality (VR -Y- AR) are settling very fast. Its suitability to the e-commerce context offers an extraordinary opportunity to improve the shopping experience. They would allow the buyer to access virtual-fitting services, with an immersive view. However, the current initiatives for their integration into the CRM process are limited.

Actual solutions are in a very early stage, or very limited (scan for 360 views, virtual try-on with very basic scans). Also, they lack of integration capabilities with existing CRM systems. They are isolated solutions, practically focused on marketing campaigns.

The great advance in the field of artificial intelligence, offers new opportunities:

· Combining 3D clothes scanning (retailers and brands´ catalogues), 3D body scanning (customer´s body scanning) and AI techniques a more realistic visualization (virtual-fitting, form-fitting) could be achieved. This would facilitate the creation of solutions extraordinarily powerful for the customer, with personalized views (e-magazines, VR showrooms, virtual try-on...) where the customer would become the protagonist, the model. However, in the current context, there are not systems that combine simple and low-cost body scanning techniques with retailer-focused automatic scanning systems. .

· The application of AI techniques for data analysis combined with 3D customized visualizations techniques would improve the shopping experience (with more accurate up-selling and cross-selling recommendations) and reduce the cost of returns. Furthermore, this new approach, would take the consumer-driven context to a whole new level. It would establish the foundations not only for a new, powerful tool for predicting future trends, but also to generate personalized products on demand that will perfectly fil the needs of the customer. This will open a whole new range of opportunities within the concept of Industry 4.0 in fashion sector, where some new concepts as "cutting machine as a service" and 3D printing are emerging technologies.


A Spanish company, specialized in providing computer and technological services in several field; ranging from business process consulting, project management, to the development, integration and implementation of solutions; wants to present a project to the EUREKA/ Eureka networks call. The project aims to define a new open architecture, and a common framework and services with a flexible business model, that will meet the needs identified in the fashion market.

Advantages and Innovations:
The project will provide a new model of interaction with the customer with new capabilities (AR, VR ...), within a consumer-driven context, in which the customer is an actor in the process of designing new products:

· It will facilitate the generation of personalized, hyper-realistic, immersive shopping experiences by combining low-cost body scanning, retailer-focused automatic scanning systems and AI techniques for form-fitting. This will allow to easily deploy customized applications (VR, eMagazines, Virtual Try-on) as a service, based on 3D-scanned catalogues.

· It will generate new components based on different AI techniques for data analysis combined with 3D customized visualizations techniques. In this way, the project will improve the shopping experience (with more accurate up-selling and cross-selling recommendations), reduce the cost of returns and provide enhanced tools for predicting future trends.

· It will also generate specific components to integrate consolidated solutions (ERPs, CRMs) and will explore the generation of specific modules within the concept of industry 4.0, in order to achieve a new manufacturing approach within fashion sector, with personalized products manufactured on demand based on new concepts as "cutting machine as a service" and 3D printing, that will perfectly fil the needs of the customer.

They are looking for an ICT SME partner with expertise and background in 3D-printing clothes and/or cutting machine on demand. The partner is required to work on 3D-scanned clothes and calculate and visually adapt the right size for every customer, allowing the customization of specific clothes features (colour, and some details). Also, they should explore the possibility of working with clothes design tools and contribute to the design and implementation of the project framework. The Spanish company will prefer companies from Germany, France and Austria, but partner search is not restricted to those countries.
