Summary:
A Belgian company has developed a customisable gamification software to steer the citizen´s mobility habits towards a sustainable and multimodal way. This software is proven to be more effective and can be tailored made to match the needs of the partner. The company is looking to expand its activities and offers its technology to local stakeholders in other countries. Since mobility is a very specialized ecosystem, local partners are sought for commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Description:
A company based in Brussels with more than thirty years of experience in the field of urban architecture and mobility has developed a product to steer companies and citizens towards sustainable mobility based on the gamification and the intermodality of the many means available nowadays.

The product is a city game that can be used as a team building activity. The application is based on a renowned software by a gamification agency. The software has been adapted to the mobility users´ needs. The company capitalized on their knowledge acquired during their thirty years of experience on mobility.

The team building game works as follows: each participant receives a card that allows him/her to buy different mobility options. The participants make use of a tablet to check their status in the competition. There is a price at stake. It takes and afternoon to complete the game.

The game can be extended with a theoretical part where the user gets access to a maximum of information about the mobility ecosystem. Then it is recommended to make the game longer, e.g. one month.

The company is looking to expand its activities and offers the product to two types of partners:

- Mobility specialists who count an in-depth knowledge of the local mobility ecosystem. These can be: research or consulting offices, public body experts in Mobility as a Service (MaaS), training institutes in the mobility sector who would like to innovate and propose activities within the MaaS.

- Major public transport actors.

The partnership sought is a commercial agreement with technical assistance. The partner´s knowledge of the local ecosystem is required to adapt the product and reflect the local scene. The company makes available the customizable product and its extensive experience on mobility. There will be a know-how transfer in the form of trainings.
Advantages and Innovations:
The product allows the local stakeholders to promote in a fun and playful way their mobility options to the end-users (citizens). This gives the stakeholders the opportunity to steer the user´s habits towards a sustainable and intermodal mobility in the city in a gamification way.

The technology is market-proven in different sectors of gamification and team building activities. What is more, the developed product is proven to perform better and is cheaper to implement than other versions already on the market. It has proven to have a higher impact on the mobility habits of the users than other learning strategies.

The product is customizable to the local mobility scene by building on the thirty years of experience of the company.
