Description:
The university of Latvia, involved in technical sciences has developed a hydrodynamic vibrating actuator of fin. The invention concerns to hydrodynamic fin vibrating actuator, and it can be used on robot-fishes, boats, yachts, submarines, etc. Its purpose is to increase the speed of movement and efficiency of robot-fish by reduction of front resistance. University is offering research agreement for further development of the device.
University is offering research agreement if both parties decide to work together on common project, exchanging experience and information in order to improve the device.

Advantages and Innovations:
The specified purpose is reached by locating the electric motor axis horizontally that allows possibility to reduce external diameter of the case of robot-fish considerably. For transformation of rotary movement of the electric motor, provided with horizontally placed rotation axis, in oscillatory movement of a fin about its vertical axis, the following sequence of connection of the details is used possessing essential novelty:on a pulley outer side, placed on an electric motor shaft, the spherical hinge (bearing) is fixed, which internal ring is connected to one end of the draught which second end enters in a tubular detail with possibility of axial moving and rotation. The plug, in which the fin is connected by the hinge in the form of radially persistent bearing, is coaxially attached to a bottom of a tubular detail. The fin is established in the case by means of arms, that are attached by hinges executed in the form of radially persistent bearings wherein the rotation axis of holders are in alignement with internal rings. The installation site of the radially persistent hinge is behind an axis of rotation of a fin.
