Description:
In the course of transport vehicle operation in cold climatic zones, a common practice is to run the car and tractor engine continuously in winter. The reason is that, once the engine is stopped at low temperature, it is too difficult to start it again in the field conditions. Lack of reliability of the car electric supply and start-up systems leads to a greater fuel consumption, reduction of machine operating time, and even threatens the life of a driver that has to work alone in winter.
The Russian company developed a range of combined energy accumulators that allow increasing the operational characteristics of transport vehicles in extreme climatic conditions, save energy and other resources. In comparison with existing analogues, the device shows higher values of energy- and power-weight ratio. Each combined accumulator contains a supercondenser, an accumulator battery, a converter based on a metal-oxide semiconductor triode transistors (MOSFE-transistors) with ultra-low channel resistance. The converter is a four terminal device, one terminal pair being connected in parallel to the accumulator battery, the other - to the supercondenser. For controlling the converter operating mode, a special algorithm is designed that presents the main differential characteristic of the proposed technology. Within the combined accumulator, a starter lead-acid storage battery of reduced capacity can be used, or chemical sources of other types (lithium-ion type, alkaline type etc.).
The technology can be used at ambient temperatures up to -60ºC. The developed product range can include the following additional options: intellectual algorithm of internal combustion engine start-up, standby power supply of small-size portable battery, autonomous auto-heating.
