Description:
The smart toilet system, developed by the Singapore SME that specialises in innovative toilet systems, is designed to be maintenance free, cost effective and has a scalable sensor network system.

The system comprises hardware - an ultra low power passive infrared (PIR) sensor for people counting and ammonia sensors, algorithms, gateway, server and interface software that performs mesh data collection, data storage and mining, and data exploration and visualization. Through data management and mining, the frequency of usage and the ammonia level can be computed and alerts can be sent via email or SMS.

Also, a web-based software application provides an extensible suite of tools that allow users to explore and visualize the collected sensor data. The entire platform is designed in such a way that it can easily implemented at any toilet fuss-free.

The GUI (Graphical User Interface) platform allows the building owner, FM and cleaning companies to monitor usage across multiple restrooms and use the data to plan resources ahead of time based on usage patterns.

The restroom visit monitoring system hence provides an efficient way to allocate resources for building owners, FM and cleaning industries.

The Singapore company is keen to explore licensing and research cooperation with MNEs or SMEs of any sizes.

This technology offers a "clean-on-demand" model, allowing the building/facilities owners, FM and cleaning companies to deploy their manpower resources more efficiently. It allows for better maintenance of toilet cleanliness, and sets a higher standard of cleanliness of the toilets.
