An external BMS allows to monitor battery integrity and communicates with other devices using standard protocols (CAN Bus, RS485, etc.)

LiFePO4 is an inherently safe material to use as cathode because exothermic reaction does not occur as with LiCoO2 cathodes. Therefore, LiFePO4 battery cells cannot ignite or explode, not even in extreme conditions.
