The company is offering a commercial agreement with technical assistance to a German partner with expertise in the municipal waste water treatment sector, as a main constructor or contractor from specific parts of a sludge line.
Description:
The Dutch SME operates in the water, energy and environment sector national and international. The company has a track record of more than 25 years successful problem solving and delivery of sustainable technology in these fields for a wide variety of industries, water boards and municipalities. In 2018 the company was ranked 4th in the Dutch most innovative SME rankings of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce.

Germany has new rules on nitrogen in STP (sewage treatment plant). The offered technologies will help to reach the new limits and requirements. The company has won a number of STP tenders based on best cost of ownership.

The technology is an unique active sludge system in which anammox bacteria constitute a part of the biomass. These micro-organisms ensure a very effective removal of the nitrogen during aerobic purification.

The anammox technologies combine the technology from activated sludge with short cut nitrogen removal.
The system can be configured with a variety of sludge/water separation systems, e.g. post-settling tanks, flotation or membrane separation. In case an active sludge system or membrane bioreactor (MBR) is configured within the system a number of additional advantages are obtained, e.g. a significant improved effluent water quality and the option to reduce the dimension of the aerobic purification system.

The anammox technology can applied in the sludge line on STP and in the industry (potato, meat, pharma etc) and a new part especially developed for the STP in the mainstream.

The company is looking for a German partner with expertise in wastewater treatment in the municipal sector as a main constructor or as a contractor from specific parts of a complete sludge line.

The Dutch SME will be the technology supplier and can provide also key equipment. The German partner is able to sell the solution as a turn key project to his customers.

The Dutch company is offering a commercial agreement with technical assistance, and will provide all technological-, and technical information, and will assist the partner during construction and site acceptance test (SAT). Furthermore the Dutch company will offer support to the start-up of the biological and chemical processes and additional support when nessecary. Other forms of cooperation could also be possible depending on the type of partner.
Advantages and Innovations:
Germany has new rules on nitrogen in STP (Sewage Treatment Plants). The technology will help to reach the new limits and requirements. Compared to similar technologies in the market the advantages are:

- Higher energy production (biogas) and maintain a nitrogen effluent quality below 10 mg/l.
- No need for denitrification to remove nitrogen and in this way there is no need for a carbon source
- Approximately 50% less sludge production
- More than 50% energy saving on aeration
- Cost efficient solution which can often fit in existing tanks on the STP
