Una empresa francesa ha diseñado y fabrica una nueva generación de películas fotovoltaicas orgánicas con bajos niveles de carbono, flexibles y ligeras. La tecnología puede integrarse en ciudades inteligentes, mobiliario urbano, transporte, aplicaciones móviles, sensores y otros productos de consumo. La empresa busca socios con el fin de desarrollar conjuntamente nuevos productos que integren módulos fotovoltaicos orgánicos. Específicamente busca socios expertos en vidrio o policarbonato laminado, fabricantes de productos de seguridad (vidrio de seguridad y paredes de policarbonato) o usuarios finales de módulos fotovoltaicos orgánicos. La cooperación se establecerá en el marco de un acuerdo de investigación o cooperación técnica.


Partners sought to co-develop products on the integration of Organic Photovoltaic (OPV) modules
A French company conceives and produces a new generation of low-carbon, flexible and lightweight organic photovoltaic films. This technology can be integrated in smart cities, in urban furniture, transportation, mobile applications, sensors and other consumer products. They are looking for partners to co-develop new products integrating organic photovoltaic modules under research or technical cooperation agreements.
A renowned French company develops Organic Photovoltaic films (OPV).
The OPV film can be integrated in many applications and surfaces to transform them into energetic surfaces and/or to make them energetically self-sufficient.

Some mobile applications have been developed: chargers and recharge solutions in bags. This was possible due to the ultra-thickness of these OPV: from 500 to 700 µm (micrometer), and their lightweight of 450 to 800 g/m2.

The French company also worked on the efficiency of this technology with results of more or less 40 Wc/sqm (Watt-peak/square-meter). It is able to function at lower levels of light intensity than the other photovoltaic technologies: near to 200 Lux.

The French company is now looking for new developments and applications of the OPV films. Mainly, they are targeting applications in the building sector. So, manufacturers of innovative materials are sought. These partners can be experts in glass - glass lamination or polycarbonate (PC) - PC lamination, manufacturers of protection products (security glasses, polycarbonate walls) or as well potential end users of OPV modules.

The OPV could be integrated into glass or polycarbonate for rigid integrations or transparent material as ETFE for flexible integrations. These kinds of integrations could then be used for different applications:
· Windows in building
· Vehicle´ s market
· Urban furniture
· Metallo-textile structures.
The manufacturer of these product must deal with the process of encapsulation and/or lamination to integrate these OPV films.

Other integration could be in plastics, polymers, or into composite materials. All smart energetic solutions are considered as specific solutions for agriculture (shadehouses), for beacons, interactive terminals, bus shelters.

The French company has already tested its OPV films in some materials.
The company proposes the partner to measure, analyze and test the co-developed material.

The French company is looking for partnerships under research and/or technical cooperation agreements mainly in the sector of building, but also in smart cities and urban furniture, transportation, but also in mobile applications (bags for instance), sensors, etc.

As for sensors, the company is looking for instance developers of electronical systems able to manage micro energy and different functions (sensors, communication protocols, management of batteries).

Advantages and Innovations:
The films can easily be rolled, twisted, deformed and resist to vibration without losing any efficiency. Unlike classical photovoltaics, it can adapt to many products and applications thanks to its flexibility, its thickness, its lightweight and semi-transparency (=20%).

The OPV film is also resistant to impacts. This resistance will be enhanced by the materials in which the module is encapsulated.

Furthermore, this film is able to work at lower levels of light intensity than the other PV technologies and has good behavior to diffuse light. This film is indeed functional in indoor applications.

Finally, very different surfaces of film can be coated depending the project. The production of OPV doesn´t need any rare materials. At the end of its life, the product can be recovered.

Industrial partners are sought with an R-Y-D team. The building industry is mainly sought, but partners from other sectors are also welcome.
The partners should co-develop new products for new markets through research and/or technical cooperation agreements.

The French company will provide its know-how in OPV films. The French company can supply OPV films and support the partners for the conception of new products.
They also propose the partner to realize aging and use tests and measures of the co-developed material.
The French company would also consider propositions under research agreement if the partner needs further developments.
