Description:
A small German engineering company developed a high-precision heat meter. In comparison with known systems, based on the distribution calculation the new heat meter lists the real heat consumption of the radiators in one room within one period. For determining the measured values the temperature of the flow, return and room is measured with a measuring accuracy of +/- 0,1 °C. The high-precision calculation of the heat consumption becomes possible by the involvement of the certified technical data, determined by the manufacturer and audited by a national institution. The device is also able to list the heat emission of the installed piping systems in different rooms.

Due to the combination of the heat consumption data with the actual costs for one kWh the consumer will be better informed about his consumption behaviour. He is also stimulated to be energy-conscious in his actions.

The advantages and innovative aspects results from the high-precision measurement of the flow-, return- and room temperature on inclusion of the certified technical parameters of the radiator. All measurement sensors will be installed in a "Clamp on" process, not invasive. This allows new installations and retrofitting´s of existing systems without any problems. It is also interesting, that exact quantities of heating in one-pipe-heating systems can be listed taking into account the heat emission of the pipe system.

The company is looking for industrial partner for licensees or commercial agreement with technical assistance and research institutions or industrial partner for Research Cooperation and/or Technical cooperation agreement regarding further developments.
Advantages and Innovations:
Innovative aspects and advantages of the new developed heat meter results from the measurement method, which guarantees a high-precision measurement of the real heat emission for every individual room of the building as well as the measurement of heat emission of the laid pipe system. The consumer can see the consumed quantity of heat and consumption costs and will be stimulated regarding energy awareness. All components will be installed non-invasive by the "clamp on" method. As a result the installation costs are low and the retrofitting of heating systems is possible without any problems.

Economic effects for the consumer and ecological advantages for the society results from the knowledge of the real consumed heat quantity and costs within a period, which leads to energy savings
