A French R-Y-D institution offers synchrotron X-Ray for materials characterisation.

Material Science represents a wide field of research and the micro-structural characterisation of materials is needed to better understand the phenomena that occur during nanofactoring processing and use conditions of material. The microstructure characterisation must be carried out at the relevant scale, depending on the scientific problem.

Synchrotron X-ray techniques allow spatial resolution below the micron operando -Y- in situ conditions
The institution can help the chemical industry to find more efficient and environmentally compatible processes for the manufacture of materials.

The institution collaborates already with companies which develop products for the automotive and aerospace sectors and the personal care and general consumer products.
