The heating´s operating time with battery is up to 5 hours. The company is looking for partners from industry and research for a technical cooperation and/or commercial agreement with technical assistance.


Description:
The German company´s profile focused on electrically conductive textiles, actively and passively cooling textiles, light-generating textiles and functional coating, thermo-chromic and electro-chromic colour modification, polymer, semiconductor and metallic coatings, light generating textiles based on fibre-optic and LED technology, photovoltaic textiles and high temperature textile electrodes for plasma systems. Textiles which actively warm and cool, generate electric power or modify colour which changing humidity are typical examples of their intelligent textiles, so called "smart textiles".

Textiles get in direct contact with the human body and have a wide range of applications, in the automotive industry, in the living ambient, the medicine e.g. They are flexible, environmentally friendly, and are becoming more and more relevant as the ideal material to improve this traditional material with new utility aspects by using the new technological possibilities offered by the high-tech branch by linking the most diverse fields of knowledge from biotechnology via micro system techniques and microelectronics to processing technologies.

The offered wheelchair-heating cushion is also applicable in other fields, where a mobile heating is requested. Applicants will be mostly elderly people and/or children. The prototype of a heating cushion consists of a washable cover of leatherette. The core is an integrated heating module of a thin single-layer woven fabric, which warms up regularly and gently over the whole area, and of the electronic contacting elements. The heating treads are not remarkable, so the textile feeling is always preserved. The cushion completed through electrical connection elements with a switch and a power supply via battery with an operating time up to 5 hours. The overlay is washable.

The appearance of overlay consists of covering and heating fabric wiring mobile energy supply.
The heating textile has a width of 23,5 cm, a thickness ca. 0,3 mm, and a length up to max. 80 cm (free eligible).

The company is looking for partners from industry for using the heating cushion as a by-product in frame of a commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Partners from research institutes/ universities are welcome for a joint further development of the technology to aim new applications and for testing the results in practice within a technical cooperation agreement.
