Estos colectores se han diseñado como un carro mecánico que puede transportarse tirando de él o como un remolque acoplado a un vehículo de motor. El colector puede utilizarse durante el verano y guardarse en un lugar seguro en otras estaciones del año. La universidad busca socios con el fin de establecer acuerdos comerciales con asistencia técnica.

A university from Latvia has developed a device that concerns renewable energy sector, particularly solar energy collectors for individual (family) use where the solar energy is used for water heating. Said collector/platform is designed as a mechanical cart, which can be moved by pushing or pulling with a muscle strength or as a trailer to a motor vehicle. University is offering commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Description:
University from Latvia involved in science of agriculture has developed mobile solar energy collector. The collector, warm water accumulation tank and equipment required for device operation are placed on the platform which is equipped with wheels and rest state support, in order to extend operational parameters of the device. The water can be filled in the system through the valve or hopper. After locating the device on the operational place, connecting to the electrical grid and orienting it to the sun, water in the solar collector becomes warmer. Control unit of the circulation pump operation switches on the circulation pump when water temperature in the collector becomes few grades higher than water temperature in the water accumulation tank.; Correspondingly, when the water temperature difference decreases, the control unit switches off the water circulation tank. In dependence on the size and power of the solar collector, it is possible to move the platform by physical force or by a mechanical vehicle. To decrease the weight of the device, the absorber and cover of the collector are made of a cell polycarbonate.
University is offering commercial agreement with technical assistance in order to provide interested parties with said collector for individual use on favorable terms for both sides.

The advantages of mobile solar energy collector compared to similar solar energy collectors are as follows:
- No need to worry about the choice of location for the collector;
- During the day the collector place can be changed to ensure more favorable operating conditions for the collector;
- The collector can be moved over longer distances and used in different places (on a field, in a city, in summer house);
- The collector can be used seasonally (in a summer house) and the rest of the time it can be kept in a safe place.
