Description:
The Hungarian private company deals with green energy solutions. It was established in 2014 and its turnover is under 1 million EUR.
There is considerable demand for water-based ecotourism along the 1,200km ´Danube Limes´ Frontiers of the Roman Empire World Heritage Site between Kelmheim and Belgrade. This demand could be met within the EU Danube Region by creating a fleet of eco-houseboats which could comprise a several hundred MW network of green energy virtual hydropower plant Microgrids.
Today fleets of electric houseboats operate for touring the navigable rivers of Western Europe. The Danube Region, however, still lacks both the electric houseboats and the relevant port hydroelectric generator technology.
Traditional boat mills operating on the Danube and its tributaries could generate 1-2 kW of hydropower. This may be increased to between 5-20kW by deploying up to four 5kW hydroelectric generators on houseboats. These may then be connected to the 230V 50Hz networks of retail electricity suppliers, thereby enabling these electricity companies to create a several hundred MW network of Virtual Hydroelectric Power plant Microgrids and IT support within the EU Danube Region. Small-scale (5-20 kW) hydropower production and consumption can substantially impact the electricity supply of port residents, as well as facilitating smart phone and cloud-based customer relationship management.
Target markets are, for example, settlements with Sustainable Energy Action Plans and offering river port facilities along the 1,200km stretch of the Danube between Kelmheim and Belgrade.
The company is seeking financial-, licence and technical co-operation agreements. Partners are sought principally within the context of EU Danube Region project, but the company would be interested in technical and financial partnering opportunities with organisations from other EU Member States, specifically:
· manufacturers of steel plate houseboats under 20m in length and floating ports or docks as well as manufacturers of 5kW DC hydroelectric generators
· EU residents and enterprises who, as members of green energy European co-operatives, utilise micro-hydropower plants from electricity companies
· electricity companies which finance European co-operative ESCO investments in micro-hydropower plants

Co-operation on the basis of a licence agreement would also be of interest as a licensing model, combined with REN ESCO financing know-how, would enable retail electricity companies to fund, primarily from the European Energy Efficiency Fund, a several hundred MW network of Virtual Hydroelectric Power plant Microgrids.
Advantages and Innovations:
1-2kW of hydropower generated by traditional boat mills can be increased to 20kW by installing up to four 5kW hydroelectric generators on houseboats.
This can be used for European co-operative purposes to create communities of producers and consumers of water-generated green energy within the EU Danube Region.
By using a licensing model combined with REN ESCO financing know-how, retail electricity companies can fund, primarily from the European Energy Efficiency Fund, a several hundred MW network of Virtual Hydroelectric Power plant Microgrids. Hungary can co-ordinate this activity within the framework of the EU Danube Region green energy programme until 2020.
Besides the well-known method of boat propulsion with the aid of a propeller the possibility of using waterjet propulsion powered by a 5-20kW performance pump has been common knowledge among experts for 150 years now. The volume of water flowing through the suction intake housed on the bottom of the boat is transformed by means of a 5-20 kW performance pump into a faster water flow, ie. a waterjet. 5-20kW water generator technology which may be installed on houseboats acts in reverse. With the houseboat positioned in line with the flow direction of the river, the usual speed of river water, for example, in the case of the Danube 1m/sec, flowing into the pipes placed in underwater cross-section of the houseboat must be transformed into a waterjet flowing in the region of ten times the usual speed towards the 5kW water generator block using a reducer, or so-called confuser.

· Consortium of manufacturers of steel plate houseboats under 20m in length and manufacturers of 5kW DC hydroelectric generators
· System developers who can handle customer relationship management solutions for 10,000 European co-operative customers with smart phones who utilise hydropower green energy and are involved in houseboat tourism

- Tasks to be performed:
Technical co-operation agreements with the type of partners identified will serve the specific objectives of:
· facilitating the joint development and testing, under the Hungarian patent, of two 40cm diameter 5kW DC hydroelectric generator prototypes deployed on a houseboat with a draught of 50cm
· validating such for use for houseboat ecotourism on the Danube between Kelmheim and Belgrade
· developing a customer relationship management system for ESCO financing hydroelectric generators at electricity companies
· adopting the know-how relating to the Hungarian patent for CRM requirements for hydroelectric generators

The company is looking to conclude financial agreements with electricity companies which finance networks of green energy hydropower plant Microgrids, specifically a consortium of EU Danube Region electricity companies providing ESCO financing for a network of hydropower green energy Microgrids, in the interests of financing up to 6m EUR (through the so-called ELENA small project) the series production of houseboats with 5kW hydroelectric generators and implementing the know-how relating to the Hungarian patent and residential energy efficiency directive 2012/27/EU regarding the ESCO financing of hydroelectric generators.

The Hungarian private company is also seeking co-operation in the field of licensing and is ready to hand over general methodology as well as technology details to a relevant innovative partner on the basis of licensing agreement.
