Una pyme coreana especializada en desarrollo y fabricación de sensores de partículas, humedad y temperatura busca un socio alemán con el fin de participar en una convocatoria bilateral entre Corea y Alemania. Específicamente busca un socio con experiencia en simulación y procesamiento de sistemas microelectromecánicos. El objetivo es desarrollar un sensor de partículas ultrafinas y tamaño pequeño para su aplicación en internet de las cosas. El sensor se utilizará en sectores como sanidad, medición de la calidad del aire para aplicaciones de automoción, electrodomésticos, etc. La fecha límite de la convocatoria es el 27 de abril de 2017 y el plazo para presentar expresiones de interés finaliza el 31 de marzo. El proyecto tendrá una duración de tres años.

Background
A South Korean SME is active in the field of environment, safety, and health related sensors and electronic control systems for commercial and industrial applications. The company is looking for a partner to conduct Korea-Germany bilateral call together. Their aim is to develop a small-sized internet of things applicable ultrafine particle sensor. The final result is expected to be applied in various fields such as healthcare, air quality measurement for automotive application, home appliances and etc.

Target
The objective of this project is to be able to (1) measure particle size below 1um, (2) develop an algorithm that analyses the measured input signal and makes accurate judgement. Most of all, the consortium aims to (3) develop the technology for mass production and calibration.
The whole project consists of developing microelectromechanical systems pump, micro-separator, micro-chamber structure design -Y- production, optical design, sensor packaging -Y- housing, technology development of algorithm -Y- calibration, application specific integrated circuit design -Y- production technique, technology development of mass production equipment, technology development of internet of things communication, and securement of reliability technology.

Role of the company
The whole consortium will consist of three organisations including the profile holder. There are two organisations in the consortium now and they are looking for the third partner. The third partner should have an expertise in microelectromechanical systems production and fabrication. The profile holder is looking for a German partner to sign on a consortium agreement.
