Un clúster lituano especializado en tecnologías láser e ingeniería está interesado en participar en un consorcio dentro de la convocatoria INNOSUP-01-2016-2017 (Proyectos favorecidos por los clústeres para nuevas cadenas de valor industriales) del programa Horizonte 2020. El objetivo de la convocatoria es desarrollar nuevas cadenas de valor intersectoriales en la UE fomentando el potencial de innovación de las pymes. La UE necesita apoyar el desarrollo de industrias emergentes que impulsen el crecimiento y desarrollo del futuro. La reindustrialización de la base industrial de la UE debe centrarse en el desarrollo de bienes y servicios competitivos a largo plazo a nivel internacional que requieran combinar diferentes competencias y soluciones innovadoras. La fecha límite de la primera fase de la convocatoria es el 4 de abril de 2017 y de la segunda fase el 7 de septiembre.

A Lithuanian cluster that specializes in laser and engineering technologies is looking for a possibility to become a part of the consortium for Horizon 2020 INNOSUP-01-2016-2017 call - "Cluster facilitated projects for new industrial value chains". The cluster is interested in research cooperation agreement.

Description:
The aim of the call is to develop new cross-sectoral industrial value chains across the EU, by building upon the innovation potential of SMEs. The EU needs to support the development of emerging industries, which will provide the growth and employment of the future. The reindustrialisation of the EU´s industrial base has to focus on the development of long-term internationally competitive goods and services that require combining different competences and innovative solutions. The development of new industrial value chains calls for the collaboration and integration of different innovation actors, including large enterprises and especially SMEs, across different sectors towards the implementation of a joint vision.

Cross-border and cross-sectoral collaboration, innovation and entrepreneurship across different regions and value chains shall be promoted. The coordination and facilitation shall be led by cluster organisations and other intermediary organisations, by following a systemic approach that combines different resources, tools and instruments. Innovation actors, especially SMEs with mutually reinforcing competences, shall be supported in view of creating new industrial value chains that foster the development of emerging industries in Europe.

The cluster is offering it´s diverse capabilities in laser and technology sectors for realization of project aims as a part of a consortium. Joining a consortium for this call is sought under a research cooperation agreement.

Advantages and Innovations:
Our client brings together companies and organizations operating in the laser and associated engineering technologies sectors. Among the members of the cluster we can find one of the biggest research institutes of Lithuania with a strong background in laser technologies and various SMEs specializing in optical and optomechanical component production, optical coatings, metal processing, 3D printing, prototyping, laser systems making, installation of machining systems and etc. The cluster has strong connections with more than 50 companies and 10 RTOs working in fields of optoelectronic components, including optical materials and lasers. Currently, our client is a part of two international consortiums and is looking for new ways to support the development of new cross-sectoral industrial value chains across the EU.
