Este producto actúa no solo como inhibidor de sistemas enzimáticos sino también como antimetabolito: los microorganismos biodestructores apenas ofrecen resistencia. El uso de estos nuevos desinfectantes no solo permite ahorrar costes de mano de obra sino crear también un entorno más favorable. Los usuarios potenciales incluyen instituciones médicas, entidades destinadas a la producción, almacenamiento y venta de alimentos (plantas de producción, almacenes y centros comerciales), balnearios, peluquerías, hoteles, centros educativos, etc. Se buscan socios interesados en establecer acuerdos de cooperación técnica y joint venture.

Summary:
A Russian SME from Nizhny Novgorod developed a biocidal product for disinfection of surfaces, facilities, sanitary equipment in conditions of pollution which has bacterial, fungal and spore etiology. The product acts not only as inhibitor of enzyme systems, but also as their antimetabolite, it means that the biodestructor microorganisms can hardly gain resistance to it. The enterprise searches for partners for technical cooperation and joint venture agreements.
Description:
Sanitary and epidemiological situation in the world today requires constantly new, more effective methods of disinfection. For example, disinfection is obligatory in hospital facilities, food industry and livestock sector. Currently, the chemical method of disinfection is the most frequently used both in hospitals and in other organizations with high demands for hygiene. It is based on the use of chemicals with apparent antimicrobial action. The main commercially available disinfectants are chlorine compounds like sodium hypochlorite, causing many allergic diseases (eg. asthma). Since these compounds have a temporary effect, the procedure must be repeated several times a day. In addition, these compounds are quickly washed off into the environment and pollute it.
The Russian company developed low-toxic broad-spectrum drugs active at low concentrations and available in the polymer, solvent-born, dispersion, and soluble forms.
Biocidal action of the product appears not only in generally known inhibition of enzyme systems, but also as their antimetabolites, it means that the microorganisms bio-destructors can hardly become resistant to them. It is possible also to change the biocidal activity in order to decrease the consumption of the proposed product;
Use of new disinfectants will not only save labor costs for cleaning surfaces, buildings, etc., but also create a more favorable climate for working people, animals and products.
Potential users of disinfectants are:
- Medical institutions
- Institutions for the production, storage and sale of food (plants, warehouses, shopping centers)
- Health centers
- Communal facilities (including spas, hair salons, hotels, etc.)
- Children's educational institutions.
The tests showed the possibility of widespread use of developed disinfectants in different climatic zones and under ultraviolet irradiation.

* Versatility of biocidal action - the product has fungicidal, bactericidal, algicidal action.
* Dosed release of the active component from the biocidal polymer into the biosphere is possible only under conditions favourable for the biodegradation (humidity). In dry conditions, the proposed products, as part of the film-forming substance, do not influence the environment.

* Long time effective against a variety of pathogenic microorganisms;
* Low-toxic, safe for humans, animals and the environment;
* Soluble in water;
* Safe for the object to be processed;
