A Korean SME has developed an innovative vibration control device for the tower of over 3MW offshore wind turbines. The technology decreases the vibration of gigantic offshore wind turbines which are usually exposed to strong wind and tides. The effective vibration control enables more cost-efficient energy generation by helping wind turbines operate stable for a long time.

The excellence of the system lies in utilizing inertial force to minimize the vibrational energy. It is extremely efficient to control vibration especially for tower-shaped structures such as wind turbines. The technology reduces the cost to operate and maintain the device so it is expected that the technology can contribute for spreading offshore wind power sources worldwide.

Since its foundation, the company has carried out evaluation of wind vibration and provided vibration control devices for buildings, bridges, and special structures for both domestic and overseas markets.
