Un centro de investigación armenio especializado en eficiencia energética y energías renovables ha desarrollado un dispositivo de ventilación energéticamente eficiente que cumple las normas de higiene. El dispositivo evita la entrada de polvo, plagas e insectos en la zona habitable, es fácil de instalar y tiene un diseño personalizado. Su precio es menor al de otros dispositivos (250 euros frente a los 500-1200 euros de los productos competidores) y evita la entrada de monóxido de carbono en la vivienda. El centro busca socios para el uso comercial/producción del dispositivo bajo acuerdos de joint venture, cooperación técnica, investigación o fabricación.

Description:
An Armenian University research center, which intends to become a university startup focusing on energy issues has developed a decentralized ventilation heat recovery device that uses an air-to-air heat exchanger, a bypass and a control which provides energy efficient ventilation.
According to the current hygiene norms, the fresh air influx in ventilation systems should be 20-40 m3/h per person. The norm is violated en masse in the most of the countries. The offered device is capable to solve the problem cost effectively and without any substantial renovation effort due to its heat recovery capability. The device can also be used for mobile homes, hospitals, hotels and resorts.
Most of the population does not realize the hygiene standards for ventilation, and the health impact that its violation causes. The promotion process should have a special stress on this fact. The heat recovery principle, very well known, allows subtract energy from the exhaust channel and direct it to the process channel with efficiency not less than 85%.
While the principle is well known, and there are a number of manufacturers of these type of devices e.g. in Europe and in Japan, awareness of the population about these devices are still very far from well-known split air conditioner.
The innovation offered is related to new production technology and a number of advancements and new functions related to automation of safe and beneficial operation.
The University research center would like to form a joint venture to secure investment and joint marketing to establish a production in Armenia with a company that has modern experience in decentralized ventilation. Similarly, manufacturing agreement for investment and manufacturing in Armenia.

Advantages and Innovations:
- The device provides the required per hygiene standards ventilation in an energy efficient way through heat recovery function with efficiency 85% and more both in winter and in summer;
- blocks dust, pests, other critters from entering the habitable area by supporting the air-tight concept of the house;
- blocks noise, since the operation is in the air-tight mode;
- helps to decrease the risks of burglary by allowing to keep the windows always closed;
- no need of expensive bidirectional mechanical ventilation system usually needed for heat recovery ventilation.

- average price for analogues on the market is 500-1200 Euro, 250 Euros, due to ease of certification in Armenia, cheap labor force the price would be 250 Euro if produced in Armenia.
- added operational functionality - prevention of carbon monoxide intake to the house, ultraviolet exposure of filters, connectivity, avoiding freezing, and other functions.
