The product is a medical device developed by engineers and cardio-thoracic surgeons out of a strong yet flexible titanium alloy specifically designed to be used during chest wall reconstructive surgery in order to bridge the defect in the chest wall.

The market has a deficiency of such a medical device. Uses of the device include surgeries due to lung, bone or chest wall cancer, correction of chest wall deformities and rib fracture support.

Advantages and Innovations:
The product addresses a number of issues that existing rib implants and other chest wall reconstruction products present such as lack of fixture strength, difficulty to manufacture, inability to accommodate different sizes and hindering patient comfort.
