Description:
A South West France SME developed an innovative process for producing stable, dried and natural fruits/vegetables powders without damaging vitamins, organoleptic and nutritional properties. These products can be easily dispersed in food or cosmetics formulations.

The company would like to find partners to work on formulations integrating their powders for:
- new food products, such as canned food (fruit jams, stewed fruits), milk drinks, energizing drinks, ice-creams, flavored chocolates... ;
- new natural cosmetics formulations.

As the process is applicable for organic fruits/vegetables, organic formulations can be considered.
The French SME is also ready to test its process on new fruits/vegetables.
Advantages and Innovations:
The French SME has developed a low-temperature process providing stable, dried and powdered fruits/vegetables, keeping all the vitamins, organoleptic properties and fibres without additives (such as maltodextrine used in the products already in the market). Adding these products into new formulations/recipes will allow to use the intrinsic properties of the fruits/vegetables. Moreover, this technology fits with the natural or organic specificities and could help to lower the food waste (because the process can be used for downgraded fruits/vegetables).
Moreover, this process allows to manufacture products without added sugar, which is very interesting for diabetic food industry.
