Los elementos para edificios pasivos y de baja energía combinan materiales naturales y tecnologías y materiales avanzados. El producto contribuye a aumentar la eficiencia energética de edificios y tiene una huella de carbono muy baja. La tecnología está protegida por un modelo de utilidad. El centro de investigación busca socios con el fin de establecer acuerdos de licencia y comercialización con asistencia técnica. El socio potencial adquirirá la licencia para fabricar la solución.


Environmentally friendly timber-based modular facade elements system for low energy buildings and retrofitting
Czech R-Y-D centre has developed environmentally friendly modular façade cladding for curtain walls for new and existing buildings. The elements for low-energy and passive buildings combine natural materials with high-tech materials and technologies.Technology is protected by Czech utility model. R-Y-D centre seeks a partner for licensing and commercial agreement with technical assistance. The partner is expected to acquire license and manufacture the invention. Czech R-Y-D centre engaged in engineering activities has developed environmentally friendly modular façade elements system. The novel façade has been chiefly designed for retrofitting of buildings from 60´s-80´s, however, today it is suitable also for currently constructed buildings. In both cases it contributes to significant increase of energetic efficiency of the buildings.
The product has extremely low carbon footprint while matching or surpassing the technical parameters of known competitors. The main structural material is laminated veneer lumber, the outer shell is made of thermally treated wood, and the thermal insulation can be based on wood or glass/mineral fibres. The product integrates windows certified in the Class A by an independent German institute. Integrated photovoltaic panels, external venetian blinds (remote controlled) or horizontal shading devices can be integrated easily.

Important technical data:
- 40 cm basic structure thickness together with installation wall
- 80% lowering of the building heat loss compared to commonly used panels
- 6 kgCO2,ekv./m2 carbon footprint compared to 168kg/m2 of standard metallic building envelopes
- 0,13 W/m2 K average heat transfer coefficient (U-value)
- 30% primary energy consumption compared to standard metallic building envelope

R-Y-D centre offers to potential partners - timber structures manufacturers or timber and construction trading companies - the following technically and economically applicable values:

- Intellectual Property in the form of an utility model which represents a technical solution for environmentally friendly timber-based modular façade elements for low energy (passive, zero-energy) new buildings and high-performing retrofitting

- Rights to use a registered trademark of already internationally promoted product

- Detailed technical drawings of panels in different appearance (various outside surface finishing, incl. integrated photovoltaic panel)

- Design guidelines
