Description:
The public´s demand on the video is stimulating a powerful growth of broadcasting industry. By the year 2019, it is expected that most of the countries would finish the conversion to the digital TV from the Analog TV. In addition, the need for a faster editing and transmission system would increase with the growth of HDTV(high definition television) and emergence of UHD(ultra high definition) technology.

A Korean company that was established in 2010 is specialized in developing a signal processing technology for broadcasting.
Recently, as the UHD broadcasting has started, the company has developed a real-time low-delay codec technology for real-time IP conversion transmission of UHD broadcasting signal.
Another development is the broadcasting signal processing algorithm accelerating solution. Based on this experience and skills, the company is currently participating in a government-funded development project for UHD 4K based integrated video routing switch and provides FPGA based high-speed and high-performance signal processing technology for UHD broadcasting.

FPGA(field-programmable gate array)is an integrated circuit designed to be configured by a customer or a designer after manufacturing. An FPGA can be used to solve any problem which is computable. Its advantage lies in that it is sometimes faster for some applications because of its parallel nature and optimality in terms of the number of gates used for a certain process. The company has used FPGA for video processing application since performance and productivity is improved while reducing cost.
