Description:
The French company was established more than 50 years ago to provide services in heat treatment and vacuum coating deposit. The company has invested since several years in its own internal R-Y-D service.
The company has defined an innovative low temperature thermochemical treatment that can be defined as gaseous nitriding technology enhanced with a plasma technology. This process allows to treat all complex geometry parts with a fully control of temperature, respectful with environmental requirements .
Nitriding involves enriching the surface of ferrous parts with nitrogen via gas, salt bath, and plasma nitriding methods, resulting in a part having increased surface hardness, wear and corrosion resistance, and mechanical fatigue strength.
This new treatment hardens the surface of stainless steel (900 to 1200 HV depending of chemical composition of the steel, in a very highly homogenous depth of 10-30 µm). Wear resistance of stainless steel can be improved too.
It can be also applied on duplex steel, nickel based alloys or cobalt based alloys.
The company offers its new heat treatment for high value-added products. The partners could be interested in testing this process on their mechanical complex products, like valves, medical care devices or automotive components, when tribological and wear resistance properties are expected.
The company is looking for technical cooperation in order to develop its process and to adapt it to different industrial sectors.
