A Greek SME providing custom integrated solutions and design services for the electronic industry offers a cutting-edge platform in the IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) field.
A Greek SME that excels in industrial automation, measurements and communication networking has developed a modern IIoT solution to cater for the current industrial revolution, Industry 4.0. It has been designed, produced and developed in-house and can be fully customised.
The company wishes to participate in consortia (e.g. seeking funding opportunities through H2020). The company could provide services through a technical or research cooperation agreement, or as a subcontractor.
The offered technology is based on low cost, deeply embedded devices performing as nodes that collect data from on-board as well as from remote sensors and other peripheral devices, and push them to the cloud through the 3G/4G cellular, WiFi and LAN networks (Local Area Networks). Each individual device is able to collect and aggregate data from peripheral devices through the Ethernet or CAN (Controller Area Network) bus, or to communicate wirelessly through the Bluetooth or BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) with wireless sensors or sensor networks. Each device also incorporates an optional set of sensors, such as 9-axes MEMs (Microelectromechanical systems), environmental and current sensors. The collected data can be sent to the cloud in several ways and over various communication protocols available on the platform such as HTTP -Y- HTTPS, MQTT -Y- MQTTS (Message Queue Telemetry Transport), WS -Y- WSS (Web Socket protocols). The above protocols have already been implemented and tested in the field.

The aforementioned implementation encapsulates the existing knowledge and expertise in a unique omni-approach. It should be mentioned that the described technology is adaptable to any existing or new platform. The entire solution has been designed and developed in house and can be modified or redesigned from scratch according to given specifications.

Technical details of the implemented scenario:

Integrated Sensors:
· 9-axes MEM (Microelectromechanical systems) (3xAccelerometer, 3xGyro and 3xCompass)
· Temperature and Humidity Sensor
· Light and Pressure Sensor
· Current sensor

Available Interfaces:

· Ethernet and CAN (Controller Area Network) bus to expand connectivity capabilities and allow communication with various existing devices or industrial equipment in the plant.

· Bluetooth and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) to exchange data with wireless sensors or sensor networks or any other BT (Blue Tooth), BLE device.

· 3G/4G cellular, WiFi and LAN network interfaces are all available options for communication, data uploading to the cloud, remote configuration and FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air)

· Digital and Analog I/Os (inputs and Outputs) offer further board expansibility
