Their heat exchangers provide improvements such as higher efficiency and condensation rates, lower pressure drop, increased compactness, wider operating temperature ranges, and reduced cost. The company is looking for commercial agreement with technical assistance and technical cooperation agreements.
Description:
The Swedish company, established in 2000, is located in Malmö, southern part of Sweden. Its main products include brazed plate heat exchangers used in applications where heat is transferred between a gas media and a liquid media. In many industries where gas or air is cooled (or heated) by the use of a heat exchanger, the common heat exchanger technology is based on Shell -Y- Tube type heat exchanger (S-Y-T Hex). The S-Y-T Hex is known to have low efficiency, heavy weight, large volume and require large amount of cooling water. The unique design is patented with several patents and outperform other heat exchangers.
The products are widely used in applications such as:
1. CHP (combined heat and power)
A genset is a stationary combustion engine driving a generator to produce electricity. Around 30 - 40 % of the input energy is converted into electricity, the remainder being lost as heat. CHP (combined heat and power) systems utilize the heat from both motor cooling and, especially, the exhaust gas to produce heat energy as hot water. The BPHE enables to recover over 90 % of the input energy to be turned into either electricity or heat energy.
2. Compressors
In gas compression, most of the input energy to the compressor is lost as heat. The compressed gas must be cooled to make it suitable for its intended use, which offers a valuable opportunity for heat recovery with the BPHE. The main applications are to recover heat from air produced by an oil-free compressor and another application is to recover heat from downstream processes, such as drying of the air.
3. Heat Recovery
Waste heat in the exhaust gas from various processes can be used to heat liquid for further use/processes. Waste heat recovery is a unique opportunity with both financial and environmental benefits.
4. Process industry
BPHE have several applications in the process industries. Their compact format, low pressure drop, high thermal efficiency, and, especially, their superior condensing capacity mean they offer significantly better performance and customer value than competing heat exchangers in process applications.
5. Charge-air-cooling
With high-pressure gas as one medium and a colder liquid as the other, the gas flow can be up to 500 times the volume of the liquid flow. This makes the innovative BPHE design a superior choice compared to traditional heat exchangers.
If OEM customers within these industries were to use plate heat exchangers, higher efficiency, lower weight, less volume and less cooling water requirements would be needed. This would for the customer give: better performance of their total system, lower costs for the complete system and reduced cooling water needs.

The company is looking for two types of cooperation´s:

1. Commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Integration of existing heat exchanger in the customer´s application and assisting them in the adaptation.

2. Technical cooperation agreements.
Modifying or developing a heat exchanger to fit the customer´s application and specification.

Advantages and Innovations:
As conventional plate heat exchangers often give too high pressure drop when used, the company´s unique heat exchangers are in many cases the only viable solution to recover enough energy and still have a very compact envelop.
The company have very high heat transfer knowledge (especially in gas-to-liquid applications)
