Later the idea focused on sea waves and after years of research a prototype of a novelty system that convert the potential and kinetic energy of sea waves into electricity is developed. Device Manufacturers are sought for licensing.
Description:
The Turkish company was established in 2010 in Izmir. The founder of the company is a researcher specialized in renewable energy. In a short time the company commenced its research effort in exploring the potential of sea waves and the aim was to find a way to extract the energy and convert this energy into electricity. Recently the company has developed a patented system which targets converting the energy potential in sea waves.

The proposed system works on the principle of the movement of waves. This technology is a serious alternative solution to use the energy potential in sea waves. More than %90 percent of convertors power transmission system are using hydraulic oil.

These type devices involve high environmental risk, such that any failure in the hydraulic system will lead to oil leakage into the sea and causes environmental pollution to an unacceptable degree.

In this technology, chain-pulley system has been used as the main mechanical power and motion transfer element. The system is designed to optimize the linear motion into rotary motion and the rotary motion produces electrical energy. The energy produced will be transferred to main land power grid.

For the time being the system is planned to be used in locations near main land by the sea. However, future research will be carried out to make another durable prototype which will enable the use of this system in the ocean.

The Turkish SME has been working on this system for almost 3 years. Scientific research work and initial prototype has been completed. Additionally the system is tested in relevant environment. The aim is to find industrial partners willing to license the system and manufacture an industrial prototype.
Advantages and Innovations:
The proposed system is more productive and safer for the environment compared to its rivals since a full mechanical system rather than a hydraulic system is used. Other than lubricating the gear/fly wheel no oil is used to drive the system. In case of leakage a small cell is mounted to collect the oil.

The system design is flexible; for various heights of sea wave it is possible to adopt the system to be compatible to various wave heights as the size of the inner converter increases the amounts of energy obtained increases.

Power transmission system is fully mechanical and patented. It doesn´t pollute the environment, the cost of fabrication, maintenance and repairing is %50 cheaper compared to similar devices already on the market. Efficiency is calculated to be more than %55-%60 which is found to be higher than the current commercial examples on market.
