Un instituto de investigación eslovaco especializado en química inorgánica ha desarrollado un ensayo de corrosión: un ensayo de envejecimiento acelerado avanzado (3AT). Este ensayo reduce la duración de las pruebas de corrosión en materiales y acelera la evolución del nivel de corrosión modificando el entorno de corrosión. La tecnología está en fase de desarrollo (pruebas en laboratorio). El instituto busca empresas con el fin de establecer acuerdos de servicio para probar la resistencia a la corrosión de sus productos.

The technology is under development (lab tested). The institute seeks companies interested in services agreement for testing corrosion resistance and stamina of their products.
Description:
This research institute is one of the most respected and experienced research centres in Slovakia active in the field of inorganic chemistry research. This institute has developed a fast and accurate corrosion testing method for predicting the long-term corrosion behaviour of materials.

Conventional corrosion testing of products is a time-consuming and expensive process, because it requires months or years of exposure for reliable results. Advanced accelerated aging testing (3AT) speeds up evolution of corrosion layer, therefore dramatically reduces duration of material/product testing. In some cases, when it is impossible to create such layer, 3AT is able to produce such parameters, through the use of the behaviour of material in given environment.

The prediction of the life-time of materials, in given corrosion environment, from the point of view of long-term service, can be described by corrosion reduction and speed of corrosion.
Modification of corrosion environment, which is the keystone of 3AT, arises from the composition of tested material. If the material is unknown or is the part of intellectual property, is impossible to set the right conditions in 3AT.

The research institute is looking for partners interested in services agreement. They are looking for partners interested especially in materials and products testing on corrosion resistance and stamina. There is no preference in type and size of partner sought.
