Este método incluye un módulo de seguimiento ocular y procesa la información obtenida durante la ejecución de actividades específicas. Esta información se compara a través de modelos computacionales con el movimiento de los ojos de individuos sanos de diferentes edades y niveles educativos, ofreciendo un marco de referencia. El centro busca socios interesados en establecer acuerdos de licencia y continuar con el desarrollo para comercializar la tecnología.

Description:
A research institution from Argentina has developed a technology consisting in a cognition performance evaluation for detection of mild cognitive impairment (identification of neurodegenerative diseases).

The invention comprises a device that allows an accurate evaluation of cognitive performance of a person. It has an eye-tracking module and process information obtained during the execution of specific tasks. This information is compared with computational modelling of eye movement (range of motion, number of fixations, regressions, gaze duration, probability of skipping of words, etc.) in healthy subjects of different ages and educational levels, providing a reference framework. A particular task example might be the reading of sentences in a random order.

The research institution is looking for a partner able to adopt the technology (license) and capable to bring it to the market.

Given that the technology is in a very incipient readiness level and that the research institution do not conduct clinical trials, the licensee will be responsible of the validation and registration with his/her national health authorities.
