Description:
A new established company from Moldova in the beginner phase has developed the method of extracting various essential oils, which has been created in the form of a unique mechanism and process, that extracts essential oils from medicinal and other various plants with the use of pressurized subcritical CO2 extraction. The process of subcritical CO2 extraction allows the maximum extraction and utilization of the plant´s biological and beneficial properties because it uses lower pressure and a lower temperature keeping a larger part of the plant´s biological properties in the extracted oil. Therefore, subcritical extraction over the conventional supercritical extraction is more efficient in keeping a larger majority of the plants biological and beneficial properties in the final product of the extracted oils. The subcritical process is also safer since it uses a less pressurized method. The steps are as follows: mincing and creating a pulp out of the plant, weighing the pulp, loading the pulp into the extractor, verifying the pressure and temperature of the machine, activating the extraction process and monitoring the process which takes about 4 to 5 hours, finally obtaining the extract. This process is very efficient, natural and safe. The production and distribution of new products is expected to make profit for the both parts of Commercial/Financial agreement.
Advantages and Innovations:
The advantages of utilizing this new mechanism and process greatly outweighs the risks and even benefits of using any other processes and methods, for the reasons that it is safer, more efficient, and produces a higher quality product. The extraction of essential oils is being done using a method involving subcritical CO2 extraction. This method of essential oil extraction is a very natural process and much more efficient than conventional methods. There are many different methods of essential oil extraction that include use of solvents, toxic chemicals, distillation and other steps that require an extended refining after extraction. A great deal of energy and heat is required for those processes that lead to dangerous working conditions. Subcritical CO2 extraction eliminates all of those steps, also high costs and any potentially hazardous processes. The extraction mechanism is newly developed and creates an extraction process able to keep all of the beneficial properties of the extracted plant. Additionally, the final product has a shelf life from 2 to 5 years, depending on the plant. With subcritical CO2 extraction, no extreme heat is necessary, no chemicals and no dangerous distillation processes.
