Description:
The French company uses SLM 280 HL machine with 400 W power laser: selective laser melting process.
The principle of this process consists of deposing a thin layer of powder (30-100 µm) on a metallic platform before melting selective areas by laser. The melting pool will be solidified and new powder layers will be deposited until the part is totally manufactured. The process is carried out under argon gas.
Maximal size of manufactured parts is 280x280x350 mm.mm.mm.

Its main activities are:
· Design, manufacturing and optimization of very complex parts in metals.
· development and manufacturing of parts in new materials never used before in ALM.
· studies of metallurgy of ALM parts as-built and after an optimized heat treatment.

Its engineering department is dedicated to the design and co-design of metallic parts in 3D printing.
Nature, morphology and quality of powders are studied by its metallurgical laboratory.
