Una universidad letona ha desarrollado nuevas fibras de composite ámbar con importantes ventajas en comparación con las conocidas fibras de composite de polímero, como la superficie lisa. Estas fibras tienen las propiedades bioactivas de los hilos de ámbar y las propiedades físicas y mecánicas del ámbar purificado. Las fibras pueden emplearse como material profiláctico en casos de piel dañada, mejoran el estado de la piel en diabéticos y se utilizan también en cirugía. La universidad busca socios con el fin de establecer acuerdos de comercialización con asistencia técnica o investigación para desarrollar nuevas aplicaciones.

A university from Latvia has developed a new type of the product - amber composite fibres, which has significant advantages compared with the known polymer composite fibres, in particular, fibres with the smooth surface. The amber composite fibres have bio active properties of amber threads retaining physical and mechanical properties of the purified amber. The university is interested in commercial agreement with technical assistance or research cooperation for development of new applications.
Description:
A university from Latvia, operating in field of technical sciences, has developed an amber composite fibres. The amber composite fibres are designed to widen the range of application of textile materials and can be used as a prophylactic material in case of various skin changes. It facilitates the improvement of skin state in case of diabetes and can be used in surgery. Amber composite fibre can be applied to numerous medical purposes, including regeneration of damaged skin.
The main feature of the invention, namely, amber composite fibre, is that it contains technologically processed amber powder or succinite.
University is offering commercial agreement with technical assistance by setting favourable terms to the both sides for the necessary knowledge and technological practice transfer to provide interested parties with amber composite fibre that can be used at their own discretion. Research cooperation agreement is offered because university is interested in further technology development by joint research on possible technology improvements. Other forms of cooperation might be considered by mutual agreement.
Advantages and Innovations:
The amber composite fibres do not cause allergic reactions, stimulate epidermis activity, facilitate normal regeneration of damaged skin areas, reflect ultraviolet rays, prevent blood clot formation from coming in contact with platelets and are bio compatible. The effect of the technologically processed succinite lasts over one year.
